Configure Application
STB Emulator Profile Configuration Setup
When you open the app for the first time after installation it will bring you to this screen.
There are 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Click on Configure Application.
NOTE* If you have already opened the app previously then you will get a "to configure application open settings" screen.
To access the settings menu press and hold down the ok button for 3 second and the settings menu will appear
Profiles
Click on Profiles
Add or modify STB profiles
Adding or Editing a Profile
There will be a default profile already created with a RED X beside it.
EG. NewProfile#28156
Click on this Profile name beside the RED X
TIP: Don't click on the X. This is how you delete profiles.
NOTE: you may have one or more than one profile already set up in advance.
*TIP* Delete profiles you do not need
Add a New Profile if required.
Portal Settings
Select Portal Settings from the Menu
Note: STB Configuration is right under portal settings.
Note: Your MAC Address is in the STB Configuration menu.
Click on Profile Name to Name and Save the this profile (optional)
Portal URL
At the very top of the screen its says Portal URL.
Click on portal URL to edit the URL. A edit window will open. Delete everything up to the http://
Enter the new portal URL given to you
*TIP* a Wireless keyboard with the mouse pad or a USB mouse that you can plug into the box will come in handy for this next step.
You have to click on the OK button on the screen beside the CANCEL button to save this settings change.
You can use the mouse mode on the factory remote, wireless keyboard or a USB mouse for this step.
STB Configuration
After you save the portal URL successfully go back one menu screen and look for the STB
Configuration Menu.
In this menu you will find your MAC Address starting with 00:1A:79:
Note: you will provide this mac address to set up new subscriptions. Take a picture or Write it down.
Note: This is where you can edit the MAC Address to one that been assigned to you already.
Reload the Portal
The step up is now complete. press the back button or the ESC button and go all the way back to the beginning screen and reload the portal.
Note: On new versions of the STB EMU you press and hold down the OK button for 3 seconds and a menu appears in the center of the screen (see picture)
Press right and then up and press ok on the profile name to load in.
Note: on older versions of the STB EMU when you press and hold down the ok button for 3 seconds and menu will appear from top right hand corner of the screen. Press down until you get to profile then press ok twice
